Coleodactylus natalensis FREIRE, 1999

A short video of an individual of Coleodactylus natalensis, the smallest lizard species of South America (maximum snout-vent length of 2.2 and 2.4 cm in males and females, respectively). The Natal Pigmy Gecko is endemic to Atlantic Forest fragments in Rio Grande do Norte state, coastal northeastern Brazil. Lizards live in the leaf litter of the forest, and feed on small invertebrates, mainly isopods and spiders.
